FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Answers You Need

DO YOUR PROGRAMS REQUIRE A PRACTICUM?

Yes, we require our students to complete a working practicum in a dental office to receive their program certificate for our Dental Administration and Sterilization programs. Each student is responsible to arrange their practicum, however, the college can assist the student if necessary using our resources. A working practicum helps the student gain insight into the daily responsibilities of the role and provides hands-on experience.

HOW DOES YOUR PROGRAM COMPARE TO OTHERS?

CCHD offers unique program outlines, hands-on training, small classes, and competitive affordable rates. The program creator (and main instructor) is a dental professional, who owns and operates a dental clinic. This provides a unique, relevant expertise that sets CCDH apart from other schools. Our programs do not have "filler" classes and are heavy on the dental foundations, which gives the students more knowledge and a competitive edge.

HOW I APPLY FOR FUNDING TO HELP WITH TUITION?

Our Dental Administration program is a licensed program approved for Student Aid funding in Alberta and Manitoba and soon to be British Columbia and Saskatchewan and Ontario. You can apply for funding on our Student Aid page. There it will direct you to their website to apply for financial assistance.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IN-CLASS AND ONLINE?

The online platform is delivered online and therefore can be accessed anytime. This provides the student with fixability in their studies. All the tests and final exam are done online. Our program has added some Zoom hands-on training to bridge the gap between totally self-directed and in-class delivery. Our in-class programs are taught on location with a live instructor. Our in-class program will not be available until October 2024.

WHERE CAN I FIND YOUR CLASS SCHEDULES?

The program schedules for all classes offered at CCDH are located on the "Our  Programs" page. There is a button at the top section that will redirect you to our college schedule list for the 2024 year. This is a printable PDF.

WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT POLICIES FOR THE COLLEGE?

Our DOA classes are eligible for Student Aid funding and grants in Alberta and Manitoba. For more information visit our "Student Aid" pages. Our DOA program is not eligible for tax exemption under T0222. All other classes are not eligible for provincial funding. Our private programs are all paid in full prior to the commencement of each course. There is no GST added for programs. Accepted methods of payment are: Visa, MasterCard, e.transfer, and cheque. All invoices are paid online. All credit card payments are subject to a 3% processing fee.
